Real estate is cyclical and it lasts eighteen and a half years. If we are to consult Phil Anderson’s real estate clock, we are approximately at a mid-cycle slowdown. As we approach the next phase, it’s a good idea to ask how prepared we are and what we should do to ensure ourselves against the negative effects of a downturn.

While completing his degree in Biomechanical Engineering and M.B.A. in Finance at Virginia Tech, he bought his first single-family rental at age 21. Chris lives with his wife and two boys (and Viszla, Lucy!) in Asheville, NC where he loves spending time with them in the outdoors and enjoying the food and culture that the region has to offer.
